They will design, build, test, and maintain scripts and lightweight tools using Python, PowerShell, APIs, and AI-assisted development tools. This includes consolidating existing scripts, creating batch-processing and validation workflows, developing one-click solutions, and building reporting dashboards. The contractor will collaborate closely with content managers, designers, engineers, localization partners, and other vendors, proactively communicating progress, risks, dependencies, and recommendations.
• Key projects: This role will support content publishing and help transform manual content operations into efficient, scalable workflows across M365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and emerging Copilot experiences.
Candidate Requirements
• Disqualifiers: Resumes with constant job hopping or low tenure will not be eligible.
• Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in Content Automation, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- The ideal candidate is equally comfortable publishing content, inspecting a template for subtle quality issues, and opening a terminal to automate a repetitive workflow. They are meticulous, curious, proactive, strategic, and pragmatic.
- They communicate early and clearly, ask the right questions, anticipate dependencies, and bring people together to move work forward. They can connect day-to-day operational details to broader team goals, influence decisions with clear recommendations, and build trusted partnerships across disciplines.
- They understand that successful automation must be accurate, maintainable, well documented, and easy for others to use, and they continuously look for opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort, and help the content team scale.
- The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of experience in workflow automation, production operations, content operations, digital publishing, or a related field. They should have strong hands-on experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining automated solutions using Python, PowerShell, APIs, or similar technologies, supported by knowledge of M 365 and content-management systems.
- They can identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone processes; translate operational needs into clear automation requirements; and build reliable, scalable, well-documented tools.
- Experience consolidating scripts, developing batch-processing and validation workflows, and using GitHub Copilot or comparable AI-assisted development tools is highly valuable.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.
• Content Publishing and Operations — 2+ years: Experience with CMS platforms, content ingestion, metadata, and structured QA.
• M365 — 2+ years: Strong practical expertise with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Salary Range: $49,000 - 59,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
